Letter icon FOUND ME WITHIN SECONDS

5-12-2005

Hello

How can I contact the Road Rangers administration?

I’d like to tell them I’m very grateful for help from RRs Joseph and John, Truck No. 404, on Wednesday night May 11.

My car suffered a flat tire on I-95 near the Sunrise exit in Fort Lauderdale, and they found me within seconds. They changed the tire for me, and made sure I was OK.

Thanks.

Charlie McCarthy

Letter icon NOT SO SCARY

5-5-2005

I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful service. I had a blowout on I-75, just north of Griffin Rd at around 9 am on Thursday May 5. I am hearing impaired, and do not have a cell phone, so I was stranded on the side of the road. This is the first time I have ever had a flat while driving, and I was very scared. I started to walk for help, when I noticed that one of your trucks pulled up behind my car. I ran back, and within 20 minutes I was on my way again. The driver was so nice, and helpful, and even refused a tip I offered. He made this scary experience not so scary! I have never heard of your service, but I am very, very grateful. Many, Many thanks !!!!

Dear Sirs,

This is to express my sincere thanks for your Ranger service on RT 95 near RT 706 on March 26th during a rain storm. In particular I would like to thank your employee Silvio who was very courteous and helpful!

He is a real asset to your organization. I would appreciate it if a copy of this letter was sent to him. Again many thanks from both myself and my wife.

Charles H. Elbert, Clifton, New Jersey.

Letter icon THANKS TO JACK AND HIS JACK!

01-29-04

Just wanted to write in order to express my appreciation to a member of your team. This evening, I had a flat on I-95 north, right before Hillsboro Blvd. I had been on the shoulder less than 5 minutes, and was about to call AAA (I didn't know until now that I could call *FHP), when a road ranger pulled up behind me. Jack (an appropriate name) guided me up further to a safer area, put my spare on, and I was on my way in about 10 minutes. Thanks again.

Mason Ames, Boca Raton

P.S. Another bonus was my realization that I didn't have sufficient jack tools in my truck. I'm going to go out and buy the same jack that “Jack” used.

Letter icon COMFORTING SERVICE FOR WOMAN BROKEN DOWN!

11/09/04

I wanted to thank the Road Ranger representatives (Theo – truck 401) who are responsible for tending to 595 East. Last Wednesday around 5 p.m., my Jeep Wrangler over heated in a very busy area of 595E. I called the *347 for assistance. They had assistance to me within 15 minutes. The Ranger was very pleasant and professional. Being a woman broken down by herself, it was comforting to have such great service.

Letter icon QUICK, COURTEOUS, EXPERT SERVICE!

10-01-03

On September 30, we had a “blowout” on 95 in a very dangerous area. Your Road Ranger (Alvin Glissen) quickly and expertly changed our tire and had us on our way. I think a way of thanks and appreciation should be noted for his courteous and expert help.

Sincerely,
Robert Himmelfarb, Boynton Beach, Florida

Letter icon BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSIONER & EMPLOYEE THANKS YOU!

09-04-03

Dear Mr. Francese,

An employees of Broward County, Allan Brucken, forwarded a copy of his correspondence with you regarding the outstanding Road Ranger program. I guess sometimes people forget to thank those who help others and really make a difference. On behalf of Mr. Brucken, myself and all those that the Road Rangers have helped, please extend our sincere appreciation for a job well done!

Lori Nance Parrish, Broward County Commissioner

LETTER TO THE PUBLIC INFORMATION DIRECTOR

Dear Barbara Kelleher,

I'm writing you this e-mail because of the outstanding work of the Road Rangers. On 8/28/03, approximately 6:00 am, I had a blow out on I-95 between S.R.84 and Davie Road. Due to an enlarged heart, as well as other medical problems, it was impossible for me to change the tire, so I called my brother-in-law on my cell phone for help. He arrived and started to change the tire only to find out that the company that installed the tire used two different type of lug nuts. We were just about to leave the car on I-95 when the Road Ranger arrived and asked what the problem was. He fixed my tire within five minutes and I was back on the road. I just want you to know that I am a 25-year veteran of Broward County Government and I was really glad to see that the Road Rangers are on the Interstates helping people. I don't know the gentleman's name in truck #406, but I owe him a really big “Thank you!”
